So far we have only used Zojirushi NP-HTC10 for white and brown rice. For brown rice, we use the "Gaba" option which lets the brown rice sit for 2 hours at 104 degree before cooking. After that cooking time is about 1 hour for the brown rice. The cooked brown rice comes out soft and delicious. That makes eating brown rice easy and enjoyable. The cooker makes a low but notable noice during cooking as if some fan or ventilation is turned on. Not an issue there. We are very happy with it!

This Zojirushi NP-HTC10 rice cooker is amazing. A friend owned one and I've used it several times for white and brown rice. When I moved into my new place I simply had to have one myself. I couldn't stand the thought of "instant" rice or something from an inferior rice cooker. This produces, and produces well. Super easy to use, and to clean up. I absolutely love it!
