After using cheapo rice cookers for several years (which weren't terrible) I finally stepped up. The difference in the quality of rice the Zojirushi NP-GBC05 makes is incredible. It truly is restaurant quality. So far I've made Sushi rice, Jasmine rice and Gaba brown rice. I've never been a big fan of brown rice but I'm eating it all the time now because it tastes so good. Gaba rice takes three hours to cook but Zojirushi NP-GBC05 has a timer feature so I can set it be ready when I get home. Initially I was reluctant to buy this because of the high price. After using it for two weeks, I would buy Zojirushi NP-GBC05 3-Cup Rice Cooker again in a heartbeat. It's an outstanding product.

I debated on purchasing the Rice Cooker and Warmer with Induction Heating System due to the high price tag. There are much cheaper rice cookers on the market, of which I have owned. The trouble I had with the less expensive models was the bottom of the cook pan always burned the rice and left a brown hard mass at the bottom of the bowl. I received my Zojirushi Rice Cooker NP-GBC05 and immediately opened the box and cleaned the cooking bowl and started a batch of rice. Zojirushi NP-GBC05 came out perfectly the first time. No overcooked spots in the bottom of the bowl. I've tried the different settings for white rice, and all came out perfect. Despite the high price tag, I would recommend Zojirushi NP-GBC05 3-Cup Rice Cooker to anyone who enjoys rice that is light and fluffy and perfectly cooked every time.
